We are keen to have new member families join our group and do all we can to welcome them. As interest in home education soars, we need to concentrate on helping families who are actually home-educating. If you are a tentative enquirer the national organisations, Education Otherwise www.education-otherwise.org and the Home Education Advisory Service www.heas.org.uk are the best people to contact in the first instance.
Remember that ActivEO is run entirely by volunteer members. We are not a business, therefore, please understand that often family commitments can cause delays in returning calls and emails
To join ActivEO follow these steps:
STEP 1
To start the process of joining ActivEO click the 'START THE JOINING PROCESS' button on this page or contact our Membership secretary, Julie on 01243 552780 and leave your name (and your partner's), your email address, your telephone number, your children's names and ages and how you heard of ActivEO.

STEP 2
After Julie has made contact with you she will send you a welcome letter and our newsletter which will offer events you'll be able to choose from and attend. If you would like, we can put you in contact with an ActivEO family with several years’ experience of home education (via our Buddy System) so that you and your children can get to know someone a bit before going to events. Over the next one or two month period you should have attended at least one event and met several member families. This will give you a good idea of whether you wish to go ahead with full membership.
